Review: The Ducktrinors

Front the ducktrinors

This review’s going to be short and sweet since I’m also doing an interview with the lovely Papatia Feauxzar about just this series.

The Ducktrinors is a compilation of the first two books in the Jihad Series. This series is not likely to be one you’ve come across before – Muslim sci-fi novels are few and far between, after all.

But Papatia Feauxzar has found a way to make the two mesh in a way that’s not only plausible but fun and interesting.

The Ducktrinors is quite long but it’s a quick read – it took me just a few hours to reach the final page and it was nice to have a well tied up ending along with some interest toward the future of the series as well.

I did find it a bit overwhelming to remember the identities of the entire ensemble cast but Papatia makes a good effort of reminding readers when things get a bit too fast paced.

All in all, a good, interesting read that you’ll probably end up going back to once or twice.

Final rating: 4 stars out of 5.
