100 Words a Day: Day 14

Quick heads up: I’ve created a mailing list and I’d love it if you all subscribed. As a bonus to subscribers, you get to read the first scenes I ever wrote for Transmutation – ones that didn’t make it into the book sadly.

You can subscribe by putting your email into the pop up that shows up when you visit the site (It’s the pink one)

Prompt: Hungry
He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been properly hungry.

Nothing he ate seemed to taste like anything at all anymore. It was all just dust in his mouth.

He knew that he was worrying his parents but he couldn’t help it. He was trying to eat but it all just tasted so awful!

Six months ago, he’d been eating too much. Now he could barely bring himself to eat at all.

Was this a punishment?

No. He wasn’t the one hurting, the people around him were. Surely no punishment would leave him unscathed and harm his loved ones instead?
