Sunlight was a curious thing. It signalled the end of night, the end of darkness. For a very long time, it had signalled an end to fear for human beings.
But now… all sunlight means is that it’s time to get up and work again. Night time is play time.
He’d never particularly liked the sunlight. Even as a little kid, he’d been more comfortable at night. It had driven his parents to distraction, trying to keep up with their strange child.
He’d never been able to get them to understand. The night… it concealed. It hid all the ugliness.

Nope. These prompts are pretty much just write what comes to mind in that moment. It’s a sad outlook though, isn’t it?
