Puppies? Candy? Baby elephants? What makes you smile?
There was a time when almost nothing really made me smile. Of course, I’d muster up the effort for a polite, fake smile that didn’t reach my eyes. It felt kind of like I’d forgotten how to actually smile and be happy though.
But that’s a story for another time.
Some things that never fail to get a smile (or more likely a coo) from me? Babies. I have said before and I will most likely say again – I adore babies. They don’t have to be human babies either. All babies are adorable. That’s just how it is.
What else? A good, funny book.
That feeling in the pit of your stomach when you’re swinging really high or you’re driving over a hill and you feel kind of weightless. That one hasn’t ever failed that I can remember.
Oh! And chocolate. Chocolate’s good.
(And, of course, the people I love).
