Let’s talk about the weather!

It looks like I’ve run out of ideas for blog posts, doesn’t it? (Maybe I have, too).

But really, let’s talk about the weather.

I don’t particularly like sunshine. I don’t like heat. And I don’t like to sweat.

I like the cold. I like the rain – I like playing in the rain most of all.

When I was little, I was terrified of storms. I was very worried about being struck by lightning. And the thunder was way too loud – until I understood that there was nothing much it could do to harm me all by itself.

I’ll still flinch sometimes if the lightning is especially bright and close.

It’s a reminder of my own mortality – a reminder that if it’s meant to strike me, there’s exactly nothing I can do to stop it.

I’ve never seen snow but I have a feeling that I’d love it too – that I’d grin and play and promptly catch myself a cold.
