I’m Fasting this Ramadan is written by Zeneefa Zaneer and illustrated by Afra Anas. It was published by Think Publishers and is available here. It’s the story of a little girl named Sakeena and her very first time fasting.
Sakeena’s story is accompanied by eye-catching and exciting illustrations which are sure to interest your little one. I love the inclusion of the family’s food parcel tradition and the realistic difficulty that little children face during their first few fasts before they become used to the routine.
The dua being included was a great touch and I enjoyed that the explanation of Ramadan and Eid is simple enough for children to follow easily.
